No matter if you and your friends are scratch golfers, bogey golfers or a combination of the two, there are an abundance of golf vacation packages to suit groups of all sizes and skill sets. If your foursome (or groups of foursomes) is up for a trip across the pond, journey to the birthplace of the game, Ireland. With more than 300 courses, including a number of world-renowned courses, the scenery doesn’t get any better than that on the Emerald Isle. Find your adventure

While hunting, fishing, camping and hiking trips are longstanding, adventurous “mancations,” those seeking more of an adrenaline rush should check out National Geographic’s list of 10 extreme adventure lodges in the world. While one trip requires you to scuba dive to your underwater accommodations (a former undersea marine lab) another getaway takes you to a cliffside retreat, which only is accessible via a combination of ziplines and hiking trails or by scaling 1,312 feet of metal rungs and cables.

Sit and sip

Not big on a grand adventure? Travel to Kentucky and explore the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, which stretches from Louisville to Lexington, and visit all 11 distilleries. This tour offers visitors a firsthand look at the art and science of crafting Bourbon and educates them on the rich history and proud tradition of Kentucky’s signature spirit. Eat your heart out

When all else fails, pick a destination with great food and never-ending entertainment. A weekend trip to Chicago can check off both the “food” and “entertainment” boxes for your guys’ getaway. Chicago’s reputation for exceptional deep dish pizza, Italian beef sandwiches and hot dogs (yes, hot dogs) is well deserved. These Windy City staples can be found in multiple locations throughout the city. After you’ve satisfied your taste buds, head over to The Second City and catch an improv show to laugh off all the calories.

New Orleans is another city known for its culinary panache and fun nightlife. Ever heard of Gumbo, Jambalaya or Bananas Foster? Ever heard of Emeril Lagasse, Donald Link, Susan Spicer or John Besh? NOLA has earned its reputation as a food mecca and any visitor in town for more than a few days will receive an education in Cajun vs. Creole cuisine. Whether staying in the French Quarter or in downtown New Orleans, no guys’ trip would be complete without a visit to the infamous Bourbon Street.
