Fast Park, an offsite airport parking company with 17 facilities in 14 markets, and its parent company, Parking Company of America (PCA), hosted The North Pole Express, a surprise holiday event for Cincinnati families in need on Saturday, Dec. 5 at the Woodward Theater in Over-the-Rhine. Fast Park worked with Most Valuable Kids Cincinnati to select more than 100 people from various agencies, schools and organizations to attend.


The event took place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday but prior to the event start, participants had no idea what was in store for them. Fast Park shuttles picked up guests and shuttled them to the Woodward Theater where a curtained reveal awaited. Once all had arrived and the curtain was pulled back, their trip to the North Pole Express had begun. A hot chocolate bar, candy table, crafts and more were all a part of this magical journey.

After activities, food, caroling and a special visit and photos with Santa, Fast Park and PCA employees had one more big surprise ready. As snow began to fall from the balcony, employees brought a Santa sack full of gifts for each family member.

It was truly a magical day for all of us,” said Melanie Chavez, VP of construction and branding at Fast Park. “Giving back to our communities throughout the year is an important company initiative. This year we really wanted to go big and celebrate the holiday season with those who needed it the most. Seeing the families’ faces and hearing the children cheer was something that melted our hearts throughout the entire day. This was as much a gift to all of us as it was to them. We could not have been more honored to provide something that many of these families never get to experience — a holiday celebration with each other.”
