We love seeing familiar faces at our facilities, and our corporate clients are people we see so often that they start to feel like family!
We love seeing familiar faces at our facilities, and our corporate clients are people we see so often that they start to feel like family! To say “thank you” for their continued support, we are highlighting some of our top corporate customers.
Kerry Lumpp, production planner at Thermo Fisher Scientific, is one of our favorite road warriors in Austin. We caught up with her to learn more about what she does and how her best travel tips.
Tell us a little bit about your business.
Thermo Fisher Scientific is the world leader in serving science. The Austin location manufactures mass spectrometers used in the food and drug industry, environmental and forensic science.
How important is a smooth travel process to your business?
It is very important. A large portion of our employees are in the marketing and field service industry and travel a majority of the time.
How often do you and/or your employees travel on average?
They are on the road a great deal. In fact, about 40 percent of our employees from the Austin site travel 60 percent of the time.
Why did you choose Fast Park as your corporate travel parking partner?
We chose Fast Park for the convenience, security and pricing. Our favorite feature is the covered parking, especially in the Texas summers.
Many of our customers love to hear from other road warriors. Do you or other employees within your company have any great travel tips you can share?
Pack smart and know what is expected going through security check points so it can be done as quickly and efficiently as possible. Pull out your laptops, have slip-on shoes and make sure your liquids are in the correct size bottles and in a one-quart plastic bag. People who fumble through the security check points can make seasoned travelers frustrated.
What destinations/experiences are on your travel bucket list?
I would love to visit Tybee Island, Ga.; Ireland and Australia.
What’s the most exotic place you’ve ever visited?
The best trip I’ve taken so far was when I went to Myrtle Beach, S.C. I ended up going to the Balloon Fest in North Carolina and took a balloon ride. Absolutely amazing!!
