These days, airports are filled with more than just fast food options to grab a bite to eat before or after your flight. Whether you’re exhausted from days of meetings or just need to fill up before your arrival, most airports now offer dining experiences you never would have expected. From the famous Miller’s Pub in Chicago’s Midway International to Ink.Sack in Los Angeles International, step inside these establishments and you’ll quickly forget you’re still in the confines of the airport.

Not sure what your airport has to offer? Check out this great list from Thrillist which includes the best restaurants in America’s 40 biggest airports. The best thing about these restaurants is they’re all unique to their home cities. What’s better than getting an authentic taste of Boston right inside the airport without having to venture into traffic? We think that’s a pretty sweet deal!

Both GQ and Food and Wine have great lists as well. A few restaurants that stuck out include a few of our hometown favorites:

One Flew South, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. If you’re traveling out of or through ATL you have to check out this restaurant. It was the first upscale airport restaurant built in ATL and has southern food with an Asian vibe. We hear the cocktails are also pretty amazing.

Pappadeaux, Houston-Hobby Airport. After a quick shuttle ride from our facility, grab some locally caught seafood at Pappadeaux seared up by Houston’s beloved Pappas brothers at this restaurant. It’s better than any other airport seafood you would ever want to try.

The Salt Lick, Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Stop at this restaurant before or after your flight to enjoy some Authentic Austin barbeque or make your neighbors on the airplane jealous by getting it to go. You won’t be disappointed!
